“Una sopa de ciervo y magnetita” parte de la relación paisaje exterior-paisaje interior. Se podría hablar de las propiedades especulares de la pintura, de su puente entre lo sensorial y lo simbólico, de su cualidad ritual incluso, pero en el fondo se trata de un paseo por una laguna de sal. Esta laguna tiene agua solamente en invierno, aun así, siempre es un espejo en el que uno se refleja.

"Una sopa de ciervo y magnetita (A soup of deer and magnetite)" is based on the relationship between the exterior landscape and the interior landscape. One could speak of the specular properties of painting, of its bridge between the sensory and the symbolic, even of its ritual quality, but in essence it is a walk through a salt lake. This lagoon has water only in winter, but even so, it is always a mirror in which one reflects oneself.

Nacho Martín Encinas (Madrid, 1994). Artista plástico y visual. Estudió Bellas Artes entre la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Actualmente compagina la práctica artística con la investigación académica basada en la práctica a través del programa de Doctorado de la UCLM. A nivel individual su obra se ha expuesto en TRACES (Kassel), Fundación Antonio Pérez (Cuenca), Kunsthhochschule (Kassel) o Espacio Kanoko (Cuenca) entre otras; a nivel colectivo en Galería Arte92 (Madrid), Galería Arniches 26 (El Principal, Vigo), Flutgraben (Berlin), Nuevo Montacargas (Madrid) o Königsgalleire (Kassel) entre otras. Ha realizado diversas residencias de investigación entre las que destaca la de la Universität Kassel (2022-2023), durante la que participó en la documenta fifteen junto con el grupo de investigación Hypersituations. Desde 2018 forma parte del colectivo Los Explayados, junto con Ignacio Casero y Adrián Mena.

Nacho Martín Encinas (Madrid, 1994), studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He currently combines artistic practice with academic research based on practice through the PhD programme at the UCLM. At individual level his work has been exhibited in TRACES (Kassel), Fundación Antonio Pérez (Cuenca), Kunsthhochschule (Kassel) or Espacio Kanoko (Cuenca) among others; at collective level in Galería Arte92 (Madrid), Galería Arniches 26 (El Principal, Vigo), Flutgraben (Berlin), Nuevo Montacargas (Madrid) or Königsgalleire (Kassel) among others. He has carried out several research residencies, including one at the Universität Kassel (2022-2023), during which he participated in the documenta fifteen together with the research group Hypersituations. Since 2018 he has been a member of the collective Los Explayados, together with Ignacio Casero and Adrián Mena.
