Esther Mañas (Madrid) and Arash Moori (Birmingham, England) have been working both individually and collaboratively, intertwining their research and practices since 2004,
Arash Moori explores connections between technology, sound, and music. Esther Mañas addresses issues related to urban and regional cultural contexts through the intersection of graphic and installation art practices.
Their collaborative work has been exhibited at national and international contemporary art centres and venues, including: Laboral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial (Gijón) with the exhibition *Panacoustic Vortex*, Art Center/South Florida (Miami) with *Interstate*, HAP (Stockholm) with *Composition for Five Rooms*, the Joan Miró Foundation (Barcelona) with *Invoking a Demon Landscape*, *Nadie, Nunca, Nada, No (Madrid) with Hertzianos ZigZag, the Juan March Foundation (Madrid) as part of the group exhibition Escuchar con los Ojos. Sound Art in Spain 1961–2016, Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (Madrid) as part of Estación Experimental, Tabacalera Promoción de Arte (Madrid) as part of Cambio de Rumbo, Contemporánea Condeduque (Madrid), and Dilalica S.L. as part of Postcrisis. They have also presented their work at contemporary art fairs such as ARCO (Madrid), Frieze Art Fair (London), and Estampa (Madrid). This is their second solo exhibition at the Picnic gallery following the show Remote Control.
