Born in 1976 in Orihuela (Alicante), her relationship with the coast and the limits of space, as well as her visits as a child to the shipyards of Cartagena (Spain) and the mines of La Unión, shaped her themes of history, war, coastline, and mining, and their relationship with landscape and society.
Rosell is a visual artist and recipient of the Extraordinary Doctorate in Fine Arts Award from the UCM. Since 2005, she has been developing her professional career between Europe and Latin America through collaborations with museums, art galleries and workshops at different universities on both continents. She has received grants from the Spanish Academy in Rome, the Botín Scholarship and the Miró-Mallorca Foundation. She has received commissions from institutions such as the Ministry of Culture and Sport, Spain; AC/E, Acción Cultural España; the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID); Manifesta, International Foundation Manifesta (IFM), Netherlands (2010-2011); Plat(t)Form, Winthertur, Zurich; Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, Chile; and the Art Center/South Florida, Miami. She develops her work and research in various media: archives, photography, painting, installation, publications, drawing, and video. In recent years, he has carried out projects at the Fundació Miró Mallorca, the MAVI Museum of Visual Arts in Santiago, Chile, and George Washington University-Embassy of Spain. His work is included in collections such as CA2M in Madrid; the BBVA Foundation; the AENA Foundation; the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome; UNICAJA; and IVAM, as well as in private collections in the United States (Whitney Museum's Board Member, NY), Latin America (MAC Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago, Chile), and Spain (Seguros DKV).
